Parks is proud to highlight the managing broker of our Franklin office, Danny Anderson! With 37 years of experience in the real estate industry, Parks has been lucky enough to have Danny as part of the family for 10 years.

Danny holds a Master of Education degree from the University of Memphis and specializes in historic properties in Historic Franklin and around Williamson County. Prior to real estate, he worked in many different industries. While teaching in Florida after college, Danny had the opportunity to be a press correspondent for “The Lexington Progress” newspaper for the launches of Apollo 12 and 13. He even got to sit next to Walter Cronkite and Jules Bergman during the launches. To top off the already unbelievable experience, Danny’s article was published in a German newspaper. Before finally making his way into real estate, he worked in commercial leasing and owned a gift shop, a party shop, and a restaurant with his wife.

When asked why he chose to join the Parks Family of REALTORS®, Danny stated, “I had the joy of experiencing two other real estate companies before I joined Parks. Bob Parks was ever so persuasive in getting me to make a change and I thank God every day that he was.” He continued, “The culture of Parks is like no other that I have experienced. We are a true family that is lead by two amazing and caring people, Bob and Marie Parks. They care about and invest in their agents, company, family, and community.”

Danny chose to become a real estate agent because he has always had a passion for architecture, helping others, and working with historic properties. Being self-employed for most of his career, real estate was a natural switch for him. After getting into real estate, Danny found out quickly that it required much more than those aspects. “It takes a total commitment to creating relationships and understanding your clients and their needs. It takes time, money, and patience,” Danny stated. His one piece of advice for new agents is: “Work hard, be patient, create relationships, and show up! If you don't SHOW UP and create relationships, you won't make it.”

Danny has had many professional accomplishments that include serving as the President of the Williamson County Association of REALTORS® and being on the organization board three times. He also served on the RealTracs board, the Development Services Committee of Franklin, the board of Studio Tenn, and Franklin’s Historic Zoning Commission. On top of that, Danny was also President of the Heritage Foundation and President of the Carnton Plantation.

In his spare time, Danny loves being with friends and family, traveling with his wife to experience new places, dining at great restaurants, and supporting his community in any way he can. One of his favorite memories is when he had the opportunity to have cocktails with His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex. Another memorable experience of Danny’s is the time he and his wife were part of a small group from Franklin that was invited by Justin Stelter and Robert Hicks to spend two nights on the grounds of George Washington's Mount Vernon.
